What is different about your idea from the original Imagined Thing?:	We have been developing this idea for a couple of months now and has been reinterpreted as an undersea dragon that is sad and hiding in his cave because the koi are destroying his habitat

What is different about your idea from the original Imagined Thing?:	The design of the creature is shifted into a more feasible physical realisation, more box-like and without the tentacles
What is similar or inspired by the Imagined Thing:	Maintained the original benevolent watcher concept from the story and the general design of an ethereal creature with prominent eye symbology
Provide a brief update on your progress:	The lantern based on this design is completed, including the shadow silhoutte of the lampshade and the structural integrity of it, ready to be fixed with a light bulb if that is the direction it goes.
What new thing did you learn as part of the process:	I was able to learn some basic techniques when building with cardboard materials and considerations to be made when dealing with specific tools - e.g. curved cuts with box cutters are very difficult and potentially dangerous, as such angular designs should be used when able.

What is different about your idea from the original Imagined Thing?:	I added a cave for the dragon to stand on to show that his enemies are underneath and being defeated by him. I also added a nest with eggs and fire breath.
What is similar or inspired by the Imagined Thing:	The dragon is still half lion/half dragon, who protects you from evil and can breath fire.
Provide a brief update on your progress:	I made him with cardboard and hot glue and assembled him using a variety of cardboard sculpturing techniques.
What new thing did you learn as part of the process:	That there are a million different ways to interrupt something, and even though i choose just this one style, I know that there are so much more that could be done or shown.

What is different about your idea from the original Imagined Thing?:	My design is not entirely based off of the exact drawing the child drew, the design tells the story that the child told about their drawing.
What is similar or inspired by the Imagined Thing:	It is inspired by the story the child told and is still a cow like the child drew
Provide a brief update on your progress:	I have sketched and made a cardboard prototype, my design has been chosen to be used in the great and grand rumpus so I have started to redesign some aspects and think about how it will be made in such a large scale.
What new thing did you learn as part of the process:	I learned how to work with cardboard. I have used cardboard before, but doing this prototype has helped me to see the capabilities of cardboard.

What is different about your idea from the original Imagined Thing?:	We have expanded the glitch idea and invasive fungi part respectively.
What is similar or inspired by the Imagined Thing:	These special-effect / sculptural concepts are being conjoined to form an immersive, forest environment imagery of mushroom and mycelium with glitch effect.
Provide a brief update on your progress:	In Digital Fabrication Team, I have assisted in the mushroom’s prototype making process by vectorising the shapes in PDF (exported from SketchUp) into AI file; this optimised the laser cutting process.
