Remember, it's never too early to starting reading books to your little one. They just love the sound of your voice, and there's so many new things in books for them to see.
Marianna Shek, 2023/08/09 10:09
Read to your child as early as you can. They do not need to understand letters or numbers or stories. Making reading time a special ritual will help form a bond between parent and child, and will make it much easier later on for children to learn to read.

It's never too early to start reading with your child

Reading with your children can begin from the day they are born, or earlier.
Emma, 2023/06/16 14:00
Children can and should be read to from the moment they are born and even before that! You may not be able to recognise them taking anything in and they may seem to show no interest, but their brains are in fact stimulated by your reading and in turn their learning is accelerated. This doesn't mean holding a child down and force them to listen to a whole story. Just go with their attention span. If all they want to do is turn the pages themselves, or suck on a page, that is fine. And if they show no interest at all don't invite them to read a book, just sit quietly and start reading a book yourself and pretty soon the child will come over and want to look at what you are looking at.
Michelle, 2023/05/23 11:59
Its pretty perfect but i would also add by allowing your child you see you reading for relaxation is also important.
Timothy M, 2023/05/05 11:01
There's no such thing as too soon when it comes to reading with baby.
Annette, 2023/04/05 11:33
It doesn't matter if you feel silly, they are happy to hear your voice. Read at every opportunity. It doesn't have to be books, read signs and things around you in your environment.
Val, 2023/03/31 11:33
Its pretty good as is
Kirby, 2023/03/30 11:46
"It's never too early to start reading with your baby”.

I wouldn't make many changes to this :)
Daisey , 2023/03/30 11:29
There is no start date for you to start reading to your baby. Read as often as you want, as much as you want, and as early as you want to blossom your baby’s curiosity for the world.
Amy, 2023/03/29 11:06
It's never too early to start reading with your little one! Don't feel like you have to sit and read a whole book, even reading a couple of pages, or talking about the pictures or colours is a great start to early literacy. Board books are awesome for young kids as they are nice and tough, so they can practice turning pages and learning how a book works.
Lilly, 2023/03/29 15:35
Taking time to read with your child is the best thing you can do, no matter how young. Whether its signs, books, simple everyday words. Read, read, read!
Rae, 2023/03/02 14:42
When it comes to reading, there’s no such thing as too early - even when your baby doesn't know what you're saying, they still know that it's you saying it!
Kate, 2023/02/16 12:53
There is no "too early" when it come to reading with your children

It is helpful to start reading to babies as soon as they are born.
Kellie, 2023/02/02 13:26
Reading at any stage of the child's development is beneficial, even if it is only a few minutes a day or at bed time. Using books that interest your child helps build their love for reading
Hyunjung Kim, 2023/02/01 16:32
Your child starts learning since day 1 of their life. Interact with them in reading as soon as you can, your child will absorb it like a sponge.
Lily, 2023/01/19 13:46
We've got books for everyone - young and old! That means it is never too soon to pick up a book with your little one.
Laura Elizabeth Kronk, 2022/12/05 16:11

Melissa Stansbie, 2022/11/16 14:18
Your baby loves the sound of your voice and looking at your face. Reading to them ticks every box
Carla Devereux, 2022/09/06 15:39
Reading to your children does not have an age limit - you can start reading to them while they are still in the womb, right up until they are ready to read on their own.
Maura, 2022/08/31 14:57
You can help your child's development since birth by simply cuddling and sing to them, or talk to them. Also, black and white board books are actually a better choice for very young readers since their attention is more stimulated by high contrast images on the page.
Chrissy Vass, 2022/08/17 10:45
Reading to your baby right from birth is so important for learning but also a special bonding time with your child. It was a lovely bedtime routine for myself and my child. We loved sharing books and they learn while you have fun.
Kristy, 2022/08/16 15:40
Read to your little one before bed, read to your little one at breakfast, read to your little one while lying on the couch together. There's always a right time to read to your baby from the moment they've been born.
Georgia, 2022/08/15 11:59
It's never too early to start reading with your baby!
Emilly Mackie, 2022/08/08 13:50
It's never to early or to late to start reading to your child! Even if it is one page or an entire book any form of reading and encouraging children to read and be interested in reading is great.
Laura Crichton, 2022/08/05 11:42
A newborn baby may not exactly understand the story but reading to bub helps them develop listening skills. Whoever is reading to bub, bub will find their voice soothing and settle down if they've been upset. It is never too early to read to a child or introduce them to books.
Sandra Young, 2022/07/31 18:57
It is never to early to read to babies and create a cozy snuggle time together.
Talisa Jones, 2022/07/01 11:38
Reading to your child is always recommendable no matter the age! The soothing tone of ones reading voice is so comforting to a kid and being close to their parent whilst being read a story, just following along with the words by listening or watching as a finger points to each word and gazing upon the illustrations.
Paese, 2022/06/20 11:34
You can read to your child even before birth.
Sharon, 2022/06/17 16:26
I feel comfortable using this one as is.
Donna, 2022/06/14 16:23
It's never to early to start! It's good for you and the baby.
Laura, 2022/06/13 15:16
share reading with your child, either reading to them or having them with you whilst you are reading. this includes being with siblings and other family members as well
Katie, 2022/06/10 16:50

never too early or young to start reading with your child
Sharynn Brigg, 2022/05/05 13:11
Start reading to your child as soon as possible, they mightn't understand the story however they love the sound of your voice, they watch you take enjoyment from reading.
Sophie Piggott, 2022/03/29 14:08
The best way to get their brains going is to interact with your children with simple everyday activities.
It's the interactions with positive significant adult in the Childs life are the most valuable for brain development.
It's never to early to start reading even as a baby!
Sheree Ryan, 2022/03/29 09:59
There is no right or wrong age to start reading to your child
Sabina Ryan, 2022/03/28 10:27
There is no right or wrong age that you must read to your child, you can start as early as before they are born
Sally Berry, 2022/03/08 14:04
This one is very clear and simple - no change necessary
Cassie VonB, 2022/01/29 10:50
I would say the comment how it already is, but to change it up, you could say:

Babies can hear sound even when they're in the womb, it's never to early to start reading to them.
Amanda Marten, 2022/01/25 10:51
You can read to your baby from the time they are in your belly to the time they are ready to leave home. There is never a time when reading should stop.
Van, 2022/01/24 12:24
Start reading to your child whenever you feel ready to do so, it can even be before they are born.
Sharon Lee, 2022/01/19 10:33
There is no such thing as a child being too young to be read to!
Ciara C , 2022/01/05 14:32
even if baby can't read getting them used to how a book works i.e. the pages turning, that there's new things to see on each page is still a really fun experience
Kirsty Wilson, 2021/12/22 10:24
Read, Read, Read.......
It's never too early...
Their never to young...
So read and read and read with your little one.
Otadan Evans , 2021/12/21 14:32
You are the first voice they hear and they are listening, even if they don't understand they are listening and learning, so give them one of the best possible things to hear your voice telling a story.
Bonnie Harrison, 2021/12/13 11:48
Babies are constantly learning and taking in the world around them. It's never too early to start reading with your bub.
Corrin Miles , 2021/12/11 13:55
I wouldn't simplify this one.
Thomas Gath, 2021/12/06 16:34
The next best time to start any positive or beneficial behaviour is always right now!
Julie Guteridge, 2021/12/06 16:20
I recently gave a new mum one of the First 5 Forever book bags with books, Errol bath mitt, rhymes, rattle egg, etc. She was delighted until she got home and new dad said 'what is that for, he can't read yet'. She told him, 'he never will if we don't start right away'.
I encourage pregnant mums to read a picture book aloud sometimes. It is never too early!
Pam, 2021/12/02 12:30
Start 'em early, I say! Babies love to interact with you and it's amazing how much they pick up.
Karen Postle, 2021/12/01 14:31
I often tell the story when I had our first son 25 years ago and I went to the local library and the Librarian said I hope you are reading to him and I was stunned as he was only a couple of weeks old and from that day on I read to him and other son and they both continue to love books
Pamela McGowan, 2021/12/07 13:46
I love the 'It's never too late'. Research has shown that reading aloud to children up to their early teens reaps huge benefits.
Cathy Mckenzie, 2021/11/30 15:31
The sooner the better, but also it's never too late.
Peggy, 2021/11/29 15:55
Your baby will love to hear you read to them, no matter how young they are!
Bronnie Carnell, 2021/11/10 12:44
You can read to your baby from birth
Sandra Gherardi, 2021/11/09 10:54
I really like this and would find it very authentic to say just like it is
Lisa Paterson, 2021/11/16 15:18
I agree Sandra. It expresses the concept perfectly.
Robert Morgan, 2021/11/18 14:36
I'm with Lisa and Sandra, this is very succinct and already sounds very natural.

Though, if you were to press me for an answer, I would put it;

"There's no "Too early" when it comes to reading with your baby, the sooner the better!"
