Part 1 - Introduction

  • Greeting & facilitator introduction
  • Recap what is The Edge at SLQ
  • Recap project - what is the Great and Grand Rumpus both last time and this time, establish what is the Well watch video https://vimeo.com/481505764
  • In this instance, as we are working on the Gold Coast in your class time and own time, however we encourage you to come check out and play at The Edge!
  • What the cohort will be contributing to the project
  • Design and fabrication of one large scale sculptural works per class group for inclusion in the exhibition outcome, 3 in total for all QCA groups, you will be pitching these next week!

Part 2 - Introduction to Materials, Design Constraints & Inspiration

Part 3 - QCA Week 7 Pitch

  • QCA Introduce Concept Pitch
  • 1x A3 PIN-UP – of selected Imagined Thing (annotated) to dissect design elements for potential exploration and sub-group allocation - Print in colour (any additional A3 pages OK)
  • Cardboard mockup demonstrating some early Form / Texture / Scale / Interactivity (think about how it can be divided up for subgroups)

Part 4 - Dive into The Well

  • Students to dive in and explore The Well and select an Imagined Thing

Part 5 - Documentation & Communication

  • How we are going to communicate with each other and other groups and documentation process
  • Teams

  • Online participants - research and reporting tasks
