Outstanding Tasks for completion of sign project (in a rough order)

• BOA - Venue hire approval pending with Arts Queensland
• Purchase paint- in progress
• Purchase Sand bags - Gravel to be purchased
• Purchase Festoon Lighting
• Measure out and prepare festoon lighting
• Purchase False wall sheeting
• Seal false wall sheeting
• Prep & cut corrugated card background - in progress
• Draw up and cut red frame in foam -In progress
• Undercoat all foam parts.- only frame left to do
• Colour coat all parts
• Measure prep and assemble LED strips
• Assemble false wall frames.- in progress
• Prep sand bags
• Apply corrugated background to sheeting.
• Mark out position of lettering on background
• Install festoon lighting into red frame
• Assemble Letter sandwich
• Program Lights test and debug
• Assemble controllers and prep wiring harness.
• Apply LED strip to letter sandwich

Install Day

• Assemble Safety Barrier
• Move and Install false wall to site
• Attach sheeting to false wall frames
• Run Power to installation site
• Patch Corrugated background at joins in false wall
• Attach letter sandwich to false wall.
• Attach red frame
• Connect wiring harness to LED & festoon lighting
• Fire up lights
• Touchup paint.
• Tidy up tools and equipment.

The sign ended up being installed in the Main State Library Infozone area instead of where the sign was initially designed for (outside The Edge). The Sign still worked in this area due to its size and workmanship. A risk assessment was done for the new install area and we had a group installed. See photos below.
